The Northern Aldborough Festival is proud to present four of Yorkshire’s most talented young musicians, ranging in age from just twelve years old up to seventeen.

Soprano Elisabeth Tillett studies singing with renowned contralto Anna Burford, and tuba with bass trombonist Ian Davies. She is lead bass of the Tewit Youth Band and will be joining the National Youth Choir this summer.

Oli Tranter studies alto saxophone and piano and is in his third year with Yorkshire Young Musicians.  He enjoys exploring a variety of genres from Bebop Jazz and Bossa Nova to more classic repertoire.

Grace Hughes lives in Ripon, and recently moved from Queen Mary’s School, where she was a music scholar and Head Chorister, to York College and Yorkshire Young Musicians.  This March Grace won both the Concerto class and the Open Strings class with distinction at the Harrogate Competitive Music Festival.

Krish Desha-Beerachee attends St Aidan’s School in Harrogate, recently passed his grade 8 piano aged 13 with distinction and is currently attending the Junior Royal Northern College of Music for piano and clarinet. He was recently in the Young Musician final at Harrogate Competitive Music Festival and was presented with the overall Wharfedale prize by Dame Fanny Waterman in 2019.
