Andy Scott is one of the UK’s leading saxophonists, whose career, from his early days in the award winning Apollo Saxophone Quartet, has encompassed many different styles and areas of music-making.
Andy is also an award-winning composer, whose music has been performed across the globe. Nicholas Kok is an extremely versatile conductor, composer and pianist who has worked for some of Europe’s leading orchestras, choirs and opera and ballet companies in a dizzying array of musical forms.
In a special and unique appearance by their four piece band, Andy Scott and Nicholas Kok present an evening of their own music, much written especially for this concert, interspersed with some evergreen jazz standards, in an evening of rhythm, melody and fun for saxophone and piano. They will be joined by the bassist, Geth Griffith and the drummer, Charlie Ashby in this musical adventure.
