Before the Grand Final of 2024’s New Voices Singing Competition, last year’s winners Lea Shaw and Kristina Yorgova return to perform their winners’ recital. The bar is set high. A formidable talent, Lea has an outstanding voice of power, warmth, and radiance, and is forging a path as one of the most promising young voices in classical music today, as a Scottish Opera Emerging Artist and now, Scottish Opera’s Associate Artist.Bulgarian pianist Kristina Yorgova is a master’s student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she won the Bach Prize, and was a winner at the National Svetoslav Obretenov Competition.
