Since her prizewinning performance at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 1978, Kathryn Stott has enjoyed a prestigious career as a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and festival director.
As a devotee of the French repertoire she is now widely regarded as the world’s leading exponent of Fauré’s piano works. Kathryn Stott has collaborated for many years with some of the world’s leading instrumentalists, most notably the cellists Yo-Yo Ma and Natalie Clein, Dutch violinist Janine Jansen and pianist Noriko Ogawa, and visits the Northern Aldborough Festival armed with a programme packed with variety to mark her 60th birthday year.
